School Community Council

SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL - A GREAT PLACE TO VOLUNTEER!

SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Welcome to another school year!

The East Ridge School Community Council (ERSCC) serves as an advisory council to enhance the East Ridge school community. The ERCC is a part of a network of school community councils across the Bluewater District School Board

All caregivers of East Ridge students are welcome to participate!

Every year caregivers volunteer their time and talents to help families in need, organize special events and support East Ridge teachers and administration to make East Ridge a great place to learn! Participation in SCC monthly meetings and volunteering on a committee is a great way to learn more about the school and meet other caregivers.

Mandate

New Ministry regulations were created that confirm the advisory role of school councils and clearly state that their purpose is to improve student achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents/guardians. This regulation also clarifies the role of school councils and establishes their right to express their views on school issues that are important to them.
